Life and AD&D Insurance
Highlight Reel
Life is full of surprises. Some of them are good, and some of them are—well, let’s just say there’s a good reason to have life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. You’re automatically enrolled for basic coverage, which FanDuel fully pays for. Life insurance pays your beneficiary a set amount if you die; if you’re seriously injured in an accident, AD&D insurance pays a benefit to you or your beneficiary.
The Basics
You’re automatically enrolled in basic life and AD&D insurance at no cost to you. Coverage for each is 2 times your annual earnings rounded up to the next highest $1,000—up to $1 million.
Super-Size Your Security
You can buy more (voluntary) coverage for yourself up to six times your base salary, up to a maximum of $2,000,000. If you only purchase up to $400,000 of additional insurance, you don’t need to provide evidence of your insurability to the insurance company. Additionally, you can purchase coverage of up to $50,000 for your spouse without providing the insurance company proof of their health. Voluntary coverage is deducted from your paycheck on an after-tax basis. Your costs depend on your age and how much you elect for yourself, your spouse, and/or your children.
